A Gift For The Soul In These Uncertain Times
“Act as if everything depended upon you; trust as if everything depended upon God.” —St. Ignatius of Loyola
With our lives turned upside down, it can be challenging to stay focused on a spiritual practice. Yet in times like these, the discipline of making time to engage in one can be the most life-giving and healing thing we can do for ourselves and for the world.
Missy Tobia, D.Min, has found the wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola to be an anchor or safe harbor in times of uncertainty. Come spend four 60-minute sessions (one session per week) with Missy as she shares with you the power of Ignatian Contemplation, a way of praying with scripture, and the Examen, a method of reviewing your day in the presence of God.
Over the course of four weeks, you’ll have an opportunity to explore how you can incorporate Ignatian contemplation into your life as you share this new practice with a small group of new friends and an experienced spiritual director.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH THE LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF ST. IGNATIUS IS REQUIRED.
You’ll Learn: About the life of St. Ignatius and how his teachings and practices can help you now. How Ignatian Contemplation can be used to enliven the power of scripture. What the Examen is and how it can make you more intentional in your life.
