In the Dulce Kitchen with Teresa
Cultural Cooking Demos & Tastings
On the First Thursday of every month, Dripping Springs comes alive! Drippin' local businesses come alive with sales, food & drink specials, freebies, and discounts. In the spirit of 1st Thursdays and food, Teresa heads into the Dulce Kitchen at the SV Cultural Hub to cook up, bake up, or mix up cultural recipes for a cooking demonstration and tasting.
The holiday season is the perfect time of year to head into the kitchen to try out new recipes. Biscochitos, as they are called in Northern New Mexico or Biscochos, as called in Southern New Mexico, have a long tradition in New Mexico, formerly known as Mexico. Originally introduced to Mexico by Spanish explorers in the 16th Century, they are known by different names in other countries or other cities in the US. Names associated with biscochitos are names such as Polvorones or Mexican Wedding Cookies.
Drop by this 1st Thursday of December for a cultural cooking demonstration and food tasting of Biscochitos.
Bring a small reusable container to take some foodie deliciousness home!
