The OpenIDEO Austin Chapter and Soma Vida are co-hosting a design-thinking workshop on healthy bones for life! We’ll be stretching body and mind to address bone health and tackle the issues of older adults with osteoporosis who have had a bone fracture.

**Doors open at 6:30 pm for arrival and networking; program starts at 7:00 pm.

**Light refreshments will be served.

**Wear comfortable clothes since you will be invited to join in movement (optional).

Guest Speakers:

1) Vivian Best, Feldenkrais® Practitioner, will talk about “Unconventional Movements That Support Healthy Bones.”

The older we get, the more clever we must become to keep our bones healthy. The Feldenkrais Method gives people the opportunity to reduce stress and increase muscular efficiency in a pleasurable, playful, and comfortable manner. Vivian will share movements that help to improve the quality and ease of motion, coordination, sense of balance, control and comfort. Come learn gentle movements adapted from Awareness Through Movement lessons that support healthy posture and healthy bones!

2) Roger Temme, Outreach Associate, AGE of Central Texas, will talk about AGE services. AGE of Central Texas serves senior adults and family caregivers with 6 major programs across Travis, Williamson, Hays, and Bastrop counties.
