Even in a normal year, the start of school can be a big adjustment and a stressful time for students, parents, and teachers. 2020 brings a whole new list of challenges to the education system. Schools are tasked with figuring out how to provide a safe and effective learning environment during a pandemic. Online learning or virtual instruction is part of the solution, which comes with its own learning curve for everyone involved. Add these four crystals to your back-to-school shopping list to help with stability, calming, and mental focus.

Ametrine: Ametrine, a beautiful combination of Amethyst and Citrine, is the perfect back-to-school crystal that can benefit all levels of the being. On an emotional level, the Amethyst aspect of Ametrine has a calming effect that counteracts anxiety, stress, and overwhelm. The Citrine component boosts confidence and positivity, encouraging an empowered, can-do attitude.

On a mental level, Ametrine sharpens the mind, enhancing learning, concentration, memory, recall, and creative thinking. On a spiritual level, Ametrine provides energetic clearing and protection against negativity. It can also heighten intuition and inner knowing. Physically, Ametrine boosts the immune system and has a general healing effect on multiple body systems.

Lapis Lazuli: Lapis Lazuli is a mystical blue stone with inclusions of Pyrite (fool’s gold) and Calcite. It provides a safe and stable energetic container that promotes thriving in any learning environment. Lapis is a highly protective stone that seals, repairs, and strengthens the auric field, while also clearing any negative energy absorbed from the environment. The Pyrite inclusions ground, balance, and stabilize the aura and physical body.

The Pyrite component also brings coherence and order to the mind. Perhaps this is why Lapis is known to enhance learning, intellect, objectivity, memory, and mental clarity. It also awakens a student’s desire to learn and understand new concepts.

Lapis Lazuli balances the throat chakra, helping with communication and listening skills. It also has a calming and centering effect that releases stress, while promoting physical and emotional well-being.

Fluorite: Fluorite is a radiant, highly structured stone that protects, clears, and stabilizes energy on multiple levels. Known as the IQ stone, Fluorite brings order, coherency, and clarity to the thoughts and senses. It keeps the mental body sharp and helps with retaining and processing new information. Fluorite enhances productivity, concentration, and quick thinking.

Fluorite clears negativity from the aura and the environment, while offering solid protection from all forms of lower vibrating energy. Its protective quality extends to EMFs, so be sure to place Fluorite in front of the computer if your student is doing online schooling.

Fluorite is a super-stone for the immune system. According to Melody, author of Love is in the Earth, it is a stone of perfect order and perfect health that purifies, releases, and re-patterns anything in the body that is out of alignment. If someone is exposed to a highly contagious infection, Fluorite provides the body with strength and protection to avoid contracting the condition. And if they do catch it, Fluorite boosts the body’s natural healing response.

Howlite: If your student is feeling anxious or overwhelmed, Howlite is a beautiful soothing antidote. It absorbs and eliminates stress, anger, irritation, anxiety, and negative energy. Howlite calms down turbulent thoughts and feelings, encouraging deep breathing and pausing before reacting. It also promotes calm and clear communication. Howlite enhances reason, objectivity, patience, and retentive memory. It can motivate a desire to learn and greater scholastic ambition.

Whether class is conducted in a school or at home, be sure your student has these helpful crystals on hand.
