Business As Un-Usual: My Vinyasa Practice
My Vinyasa Practice, a new yoga studio opening in the Austin Community College Highland neighborhood, has seen its official opening delayed because of COVID-19, but has taken that opportunity to prepare the brick-and-mortar space for clients, making adaptions to the space, including making everything touchless, from toilets, to sinks, hand sanitizers and light switches.
During the stay-at-home mandate, clients can drop into live stream yoga classes. The studio is trying to help keep as many teachers working as possible during this time, and 100% of the proceeds from live stream classes go to the teacher who taught the class.
Currently, My Vinyasa Practice is offering a 50 percent discount on all trainings when paid in full. The studio is also offering a wide variety of live stream virtual classes—the full live stream schedule can be found on the website.
To help teachers who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, 100 percent of the proceeds from continuing education courses goes toward a relief fund. Their goal is to continue along the path of uplifting collective consciousness, and they want to do that in any way possible, whether that means offering affordable trainings and live stream classes or helping their teachers through Covid-19 relief fundraising.
