Worldwide March Against Monsanto/Bayer Planned for Austin

A global march has been planned to protest Monsanto/Bayer because of the toxic effects of glyphosate, the primary ingredient in Monsanto’s widely used RoundUp herbicide. The march will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 18, starting at the Capitol Building in Austin.

The march will proceed to the Austin Central Library. The protest, organized locally by Lori Rupp-Reagle and Allison Hardy, is part of a global event that happens annually.

“Glyphosate has been classified as a carcinogen. This poison is being sprayed on crops just prior to harvesting,” says Rupp-Reagle. “We the people and our families are eating these foods. We must stand up against Monsanto/Bayer for an annual march and let them know we will not tolerate them knowingly poisoning us and our families.”

Free. Location for start of march: 1100 Congress Ave. For more information, contact Lori Rupp-Reagle at 512-216-7574, email [email protected] or visit Facebook.com/MAMAustinTX.

Find Inner Peace Through Meditation & Discourse with Baba Shiva Rudra Balayogi

Baba, one of the great self-realized yogis of our era, will visit Austin on a world tour, May 18 to 25, to conduct free meditation classes and answer questions on self-realization, meditation and finding inner peace.

An essential message of Baba’s teaching is: People are suffering because they have not discov-ered the liberating Truth of who they are. Among the thousands of thoughts that appear in our mind each day, there is a one thing which is not a thought - our consciousness of existing. The silent witness to the mind is the true Self. Direct experience of this fundamental reality brings peace and contentment to our life. By silencing the mind with meditation, we come face to face with the truth of existence, a state of consciousness in which supreme peace is the reality.

Baba is a masterful teacher who draws from his own experience of Self-Realization to impart Self-Knowledge and to clarify questions on meditation and spirituality. Learn and practice medi-tation with a true Master. Programs are free; donations appreciated.
