Green Investing Workshop in GeorgetownDerek Eckert, managing director of Syntropy Wealth Management, will host a free seminar on environmental investing, from 1 to 3 p.m, February 21, in Sun City. Eckert’s presentation will include information about the growing trend of environmental, social and governance investing (ESG), the divestment movement and explain how individuals can invest similarly to the largest institutions, endowments and foundations.

Austin Company Releases Global Wellness Industry ReportRedwood Advisors, an Austin-based company, has released a report on the billion-dollar wellness industry, providing a summary of markets, insights and trends going into 2019-2020. The report, which was released in November, identified five key insights that guide the report: traditional wellness segments still dominate the market today; wellness has hit a tipping point and increasingly become a standard concern; engagement has surfaced as the key challenge for providers; personalization has become critical to compete in the market; and the age of wellness data has begun, driving market changes.
According to the report, the global wellness industry will grow from $631 billion in 2018 to $757 billion in 2021. Nutrition dominates the industry with a $231 billion market share in 2018. Consumer-driven wellness services drive the second-largest market at $170 billion in 2018.
