Austin Company Releases Global Wellness Industry Report

Redwood Advisors, an Austin-based company, has released a report on the billion-dollar wellness industry, providing a summary of markets, insights and trends going into 2019-2020. The report, which was released in November, identified five key insights that guide the report: traditional wellness segments still dominate the market today; wellness has hit a tipping point and increasingly become a standard concern; engagement has surfaced as the key challenge for providers; personalization has become critical to compete in the market; and the age of wellness data has begun, driving market changes.

According to the report, the global wellness industry will grow from $631 billion in 2018 to $757 billion in 2021. Nutrition dominates the industry with a $231 billion market share in 2018. Consumer-driven wellness services drive the second-largest market at $170 billion in 2018.
